Independence Middle School is celebrating 12 students and two staff members this month for bringing energy, optimism, and a positive spirit to their school community.
The October Student of the Month program recognizes students across all three grade levels who best exemplify each month’s featured character theme. This month’s theme, positivity and enthusiasm, highlights students who lift up those around them and approach each day with a can-do attitude.
Sixth grade honorees are Anna Harmon, Avery Chropka, Milena Almeida Rozario, and Graham Rumble. Seventh grade recipients include Luke Jerzyk, Adrin Rizal, Lyla Sirochman, and Max Vayansky. Eighth-grade awardees are JJ Dolbee, Michael Elphinstone, Lathik Pattapu, and Bo Veinovich.
Recognized alongside the students are October’s Staff of the Month honorees, Miss Courtney Kiesling and Mrs. Mary Huwe, whose dedication and enthusiasm make a lasting difference in the lives of IMS students every day.
